13a - Prohibition on Warning Devices, Manipulation Equipment, etc. in Motor Vehicles

It is prohibited to possess or use equipment in a motor vehicle that is intended to:

a. Warn about or disrupt traffic controls, b. Override or manipulate a tachograph as mentioned in § 13, fourth paragraph, speedometer, alcohol lock, pollution-reducing equipment, or other required technological equipment in such a way that the use of the equipment leads to misleading or incorrect information or signals.

The prohibition under the first paragraph also includes equipment that blocks or conceals signals or information from or to equipment for traffic control and monitoring, or that changes how required technological equipment is used.

The Ministry may issue regulations prohibiting the production, distribution, marketing, and/or sale of equipment mentioned in the first paragraph. The Ministry may also issue regulations with further provisions to clarify and supplement the prohibitions in this section.
