16 - Exceptions from the Registration Requirement

The Ministry may exempt certain groups of vehicles or specific uses of vehicles from the registration requirement, etc., under § 15.

The registration authority may allow the use of a motor vehicle for a limited time or for a specific occasion without the vehicle being registered, etc., under § 15. In such cases, the vehicle must be in safe condition and must have special identification plates. Before the permit is granted, a social security declaration from a social insurance agency or proof that the vehicle does not need to be insured under the Vehicle Liability Act must be presented.

The Ministry may issue further provisions regarding permission for such use of a motor vehicle as mentioned in the second paragraph and may set specific conditions for the permission, including requirements for a fee.
