17 - Use of Motor Vehicles
Unless otherwise stated in ยง 16, a motor vehicle or other vehicles subject to registration must not be used unless they have been registered, have lawful license plates, and a vehicle registration certificate has been issued. The vehicle registration certificate must always be carried during use. A vehicle subject to registration that has been deregistered or is without lawful license plates must not be parked for more than 14 days on public roads or private roads marked with public traffic signs.
The owner of the motor vehicle, or the person who has control over it on behalf of the owner, is obligated to ensure that the person they allow to use the vehicle meets the requirements to operate it.
