19a - Periodic Vehicle Inspection

Periodic vehicle inspections may only be performed by approved businesses with approved inspectors and an approved technical manager. For approval, the inspector and technical manager must provide a regular police certificate to demonstrate that they are fit for the task.

The Ministry may, by regulation, establish rules regarding the conditions and transition arrangements for approval as mentioned in the first paragraph, training activities, the approval and supervisory authorities, and fees for approval and supervision. The Ministry may also establish rules in the regulations concerning orders for corrections, warnings, and the revocation of approval, the suspension of operations, and penalties for non-compliance.
